Moorhouse - a respected freelance arranger for KPM who also wrote Lulu's hit Eurovision winner Boom Bang-A-Bang - allowed Mansfield to ghost on several compositions for the label. During this period he also produced tracks for Dusty Springfield's 1969 album Dusty. It took the foresight of then KPM boss Robin Phillips to recognize the talent of the young composer. LYRICS: Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away Now it looks as though they're here to stay Oh, I believe in yesterday Suddenly, I'm not half the Stock Phrase that at one point was the cue for wavy lines and harp music to ensue. Now, it's just as inevitably a cue for the punchline, It was yesterday. or in more extreme cases It was today. Several variations occur but they usually all go, I remember it like it was-, It was-. Examples of I Remember It Like It Was Yesterday include: Happens in Episode 23 of Naruto the Abridged Series. For him, it lasted 3 days. As the description that originally drew me into this album had pointed out, Yesterday Was Dramatic - Today Is OK relies heavily on both electronic sounds and acoustic instrumentation. While the album consists mostly of cut-up beats and synthesized melodies, harmonica, glockenspiel, and occasional whispered vocals make appearances as well, resulting in a varied and texturally rich record. While texture is plentiful, and certainly helps make Yesterday Was Dramatic - Today Is OK such an amazing album, what really seals it for me is the melody.
