Scotty Stoneman: American bluegrass and country fiddler, five-time National Fiddle Champion and a member of the Bluegrass Champs, the Kentucky Colonels and the Stoneman Family band. Noted for his wild, improvisational style, Stoneman originally learned to play from his maternal grandfather Bill Frost, a traditional fiddler from southwest Virginia. Talkin' Fiddle Blues, Weepin' Willow, Wildwood Flower и другие песни

Simply amazing night of bluegrass recorded in L.A 1965. Scotty astounds with his 'lonesome' fiddle playing which travels to the outer limits of musical skill. At one point Scotty emulates the sound of a police siren... even seemingly capturing the Doppler effect as the 'car' speeds past.
The Kentucky Colonels supply sympathetic backing... but they don't have to do a lot, amazing musicians that they were.... it's all about Scotty and his fiddle on this one.
