Although this original re-recording of El Cid's score by Miklos Rozsa in Germany is very good, it is only a highlight of about 42 minutes. The recent re-recording of the complete El Cid's score by The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Nic Raine, is also excellent, which is about 150 minutes long. Miklós Rózsa April 18, 1907, Budapest, Austro-Hungarian empire - July 27, 1995, Forest Lawn, USA was a Hungarian-born composer best known for his film scores. Rózsa studied the violin from the age of five and went to Leipzig to study music at the Leipzig Conservatory with Hermann Grabner in 1926.
