Powered by a disciplined, beefier death-metal heart and reigning in the sprawl a touch, the trio's second album is one of 2020's great metal albums. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jun 16, 2020. go to album. Devouring Ruin by WAKE. Album 1996 8 Songs. Awaking the Centuries. Awaking the Gods Live in Mexico. Progressive - EP. In addition, it also serves as a brilliant example of a highly successful fusion between classical and heavy metal music. More importantly, the outcome doesnt sound forced for the majority of the album and is consequently one of the most atmospheric albums that were released during the 90s. This album from Germany's band HAGGARD deserves full five stars as when I reviewed using all the criteria, they fulfill all of them as masterpiece work. It has a very tight structure and powerful songwriting combining metal and classical music perfectly. Haggard is the highly ambitious project of mastermind Asis Nasseri and ''And Thou shall seer'' stands still undoubtedly as his magnum opus in a style he created and defined on his own. I've noticed that the music of Haggard is often described as symphonic metal. This term is not really that accurate because, the band doesn't use a full symphonic orchestra as the one that can be found for instance in the latest Septic Flesh albums
